Taos Storytelling Event: February 18th

Date: February 18, 2012 Time: 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
Event Description

The Taos chapter of the Storytellers of New Mexico will hold a story swap on Saturday, February 18th, at the Taos Library, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.

Cisco Guevara will be the featured storyteller on February 18th.

Cisco honed his storytelling craft around campfires deep in the river canyons of northern New Mexico. A river runner since his teenage days in Los Alamos, he has become a New Mexico legend.

Cisco's stories range from his rebellious youth to tales that draw on his Hispanic and Native American heritage to hair-raising adventures in the wilderness to haunting tales of love and loss.

A headliner at the Taos Storytelling Festivals for the past 12 years, he performs regularly for groups in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, London and Paris.

The Taos chapter is celebrating the beginning of its 4th year of story swaps.

The February event is free and open to other people who want to share a story.
