Event Description
This juried show of paintings, photographs and sculptures inspired by the church will hang in the Taos Center for the Arts? Encore Gallery, May 14 to June 13. The exhibition, which is co-sponsored by the Taos Center for the Arts, the Taos Festival of Art and Architecture (T.F.A.A.) and Webb Design, was open to artists living in Taos County or showing in local galleries. The show was juried by Jina Brenneman, curator at the Harwood Museum, painter Randall LaGro, and santero Gustavo Victor Goler. The jurors were looking for "work that demonstrates skill and originality in rendering and elicits a strong emotional response to the subject."
Artists included in the exhibit: Phil Bateman, Terry Davis, William Davis, Patti Day, Lenny Foster, Tupper and Richard Hawley, Petro Hul, Ann Huston, Steve Immel, Inger Jirby, Douglas Johnson, Abagail Mondragon, Bernard Plossu, Chris Pulos, Jan Rader, Geraint Smith, Linda Thompson, Terry Thompson, Pattie Trayner, Rhonda Turner, Jim Wagner, April Werner, and Pat Woodall.
